<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>This article analyzes the nature of genetic heterogeneity in human hereditary diseases. It suggests that genetic heterogeneity allows for the identification of key genes for numerous human phenotypic traits and, perhaps, on this basis, the creation of a unique level of genotype-phenotype relationships. The problem of shared transcriptional events for genes forming a single functional group in the OMIM phenotypic series is considered.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>наследственные болезни человека</kwd><kwd>генетическая гетерогенность</kwd><kwd>транскрипционные факторы</kwd><kwd>главные гены</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>human hereditary diseases</kwd><kwd>genetic heterogeneity</kwd><kwd>transcription factors</kwd><kwd>key genes</kwd></kwd-group><funding-group><funding-statement xml:lang="ru">Работа выполнена в рамках государственного задания Министерства науки и высшего образования.</funding-statement><funding-statement xml:lang="en">The work was carried out within the framework of the state assignment of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.</funding-statement></funding-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Давиденков С.
