   Наступивший цитогеномный период в развитии клинической цитогенетики предопределил новые возможности в диагностике, профилактике, а также в описании новых хромосомных синдромов. В сообщении обсуждаются современные достижения клинической цитогеномики, её нерешенные проблемы и перспективы развития.

   The upcoming cytogenomic era of clinical cytogenetics brings new opportunities for diagnosis, prevention and even the description of new chromosomal syndromes. Current advances in clinical cytogenomics, as well as outstanding challenges and horizons, are discussed.
